how do i mend a hole in the bottom of a cast iron bath?

A 2cm x 1cm hole just appeared due to rust. It’s on the bottom next to plug hole. Is there a way to repair it? Unfortunately getting to the underside of the bath means removing tiled side of bath… thanks in advance!!!

i doubt its a cast iron bath! more like pressed steel?
cast would take years to rust through

reckon you need to cut your losses and replace the tub as any repair that would be safe to bathers needs to be done from the outside

also – it may cost a bit to re tile but imagine the costs of a catastrophic failure of the bath [if full] on the decorating downstairs
