Can you thaw butter, make cookie dough, then freeze dough?
I want to get a head start on Holiday baking and I was wondering if I have butter in the freezer, make up cookie dough, and freeze it in a plastic bag, and then thaw the cookie dough and bake cookies at Christmas time ? Will the butter be safe and the cookies good?
Sure, do a test batch and try it, lots of people freeze dough, and you can buy frozen bread dough in the store all the time.
